Autumn 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of our manufactory in the Erzgebirge mountains. This is a good occasion to look at the eventful history of the company and special FISCHER products. To continue the life's work of flight engineer Kurt Fischer is a great challenge and at the same time a wonderful task!

The hair hygrometer 111 has been part of the FISCHER range since the end of the 1940s. More than 50 years later our precision hygrometer test winner at Stiftung Warentest (2003).
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of FISCHER, we manufacture our classic in an exclusive "EDITION 2020" in brushed brass. This is limited to 75 pieces and will only be available in the FISCHER anniversary year 2020.

Important milestones in our history:
1945 foundation
Kurt Fischer receives permission to establish a precision mechanical workshop in Drebach in the Erzgebirge.
Already in 1946 the first barometers and later further meteorological instruments of solid construction and workmanship are produced.
1958 State participation
The company now operates under the name Feingerätebau Kurt Fischer KG. Extensive development work for the aviation industry.
Micro-barographs for flight landing operations and altitude recorders for aircraft are also manufactured.
1963 Research work
Intensive research work by Bernd Fischer in the field of hygrometry.
This is the reason for the excellent reputation of FISCHER hygrometers, which continues to this day.
1965 Patent FISCHER Aneroid Barometer
The 6-part aneroid barometer movement is patented and 2 years later it is awarded a prize by the German Office for Metrology and Product Testing.
1972 Expropriation and nationalisation
Expropriation and forced nationalisation to VEB Feingerätebau Drebach.
The trademark FISCHER continues to be used due to its international renown.
1990 State participation
Reprivatisation to Feingerätebau K. Fischer GmbH and return of the company to family ownership
1997 modernisation
Construction of a modern production plant in Drebach.
2015 ProInn Group of Companies
FISCHER becomes part of the ProInn Beteiligungen GmbH group of companies.
This will ensure the company's further expansion of its measurement technology production.
