HYGROMETERS
Hygrometers are used to measure the relative air humidity (water vapour content of the air) in % relative humidity.
As measuring element human or industrially manufactured (synthetic) hair is used, which expands with increasing humidity. The moisture-dependent change in length is transferred to the pointer by means of a fine mechanism. Through special treatment of the hair, FISCHER hygrometers react almost inertia-free to any change in humidity.
