Aneroid barometer for measuring the absolute atmospheric air pressure. Precision measuring mechanism with 5-fold aneroid can set made of copper-beryllium alloy, inherently stable.
- Measuring range 890 to 1050 hPa
- Measuring accuracy ± 0.7 hPa
- Scale graduation 0.5 hPa.
The aneroid cans are virtually free of ageing, hysteresis and elastic aftereffect. The temperature influence on the can set and the transmission system is compensated for by a bimetal over the entire measuring range and in a temperature range from -30 to +40 °C. The can stroke is transmitted to the pointer axis by means of a pinion and segment with extremely fine gearing. All bearing points are precision-polished. Due to the favourable design of the linkage and bearing points, the instruments have only minimal static friction.
Inspired by marine chronometers, which are part of the obligatory inventory of a ship's bridge, FISCHER has created a limited "Black Edition" of the precision aneroid barometer in 2024, which has a particularly elegant look with its black lacquered solid wood case. The dial of the instrument is also black, while the bezel is made of brushed stainless steel. The double-edged index hand in the cover glass enables parallax-free reading of the measured value. The "Black Edition" is strictly limited to only 24 pieces, the serial number is noted on the type plate. The precision aneroid barometer is manufactured in the FISCHER workshops in the Ore Mountains.
"Fischer aneroid from Germany, with a 5.5" dial and a 5-cell movement is among the best of the aneroids available today. This instrument has an accuracy of better than +|-0.7 mb over its full working range of 890 to 1050 mb. Fischer aneroids have been used at sea for 60 years."
